Épis Pilate rentrit dans la salle d’la cour, env’yit qu’si Jésû et lî d’mandit, “Ch’est-i’ qu’tu’es l’rouai des Juis?”
Jésû lî rêponnit, “Ch’est-i’ té tchi d’mande chennechîn, ou ch’est-i’ d’s aut’ tchi t’ont dit chennechîn entouor mé?”
Pilate rêponnit, “J’sis-t-i’ un Juis? Ch’est ta nâtion et les grands prêtres tchi t’ont donné à mé. Tch’est qu’tu’as fait?”
Jésû rêponnit, “Man rouoyaume n’est pon d’chu monde-chîn. Si man rouoyaume ‘tait d’chu monde, mes discipl’yes éthaient ‘té à freûler à seule fîn dé garder hors les mains ès Juis. Mais ch’est en tchi man rouoyaume n’est pon d’ichîn.
Épis Pilate lî dit, “Est-tu don un rouai?”
Jésû rêponnit, “Tu dis, té, qué j’sis un rouai. J’fus né pouor chennechîn, et j’vîns au monde pouor chennechîn: pouor têmouongni à la véthité. Touos les cheins tch’aiment la véthité, êcoutent ma vouaix.”
Pilate lî dit, “Tch’est qu’est la véthité?” (Jean 18: 33-38)
Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews? Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me? Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done?
