Jèrriais in Schools

Early Years
A variety of sessions are available to children in Nursery and Reception, including Jèrriais Forest School, storytelling and arts and craft sessions.
Pallions
Children and young people in selected primary and secondary schools have the opportunity to attend weekly clubs during lunchtimes and after school, where they learn Jèrriais through games, art, craft, stories and conversation.
Alentou d’Jèrri
Primary schools are offered the Alentou d’Jèrri (Around Jersey) cross curricular programme where children are taught about Jersey’s history, geography and cultural heritage in lessons where Jèrriais is used throughout.
